On Saturday April 17th 2010, Los Angeles-based screenwriting instructor and script consultant Pilar Alessandra will teach writing tools and techniques to help screenwriters and television writers create strong characters, heightened emotional moments, memorable lines of dialogue, and engaging screen patter.

About the Instructor:

Pilar Alessandra is the director of the Los Angeles writing program "On the Page" www.onthepage.tv. She's worked as Senior Story Analyst for DreamWorks and Radar Pictures and has trained writers at ABC/Disney, MTV/Nickelodeon, the National Screen Institute, the Los AngelesFilmSchool, The UCLA Writers Program and more. Her students and clients have sold to Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Brothers and Sony and have won prestigious competitions such as the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition and the Nicholl Fellowship. Her weekly podcast On the Page is regularly in the iTunes top 50 of film and TV podcasts and her book The Coffee Break Screenwriter will be published by Michael Wiese Publications and released fall of 2010.
