About the Author:

Augusto Boal was a Brazilian theatre director, social activist, and author of Theatre of the Oppressed, Games for Actors and Non-Actors, Rainbow of Desire, Legislative Theatre and Hamlet and the Baker's Son. He passed away in May 2009 at the age of 78.
