About the Book:
At Home With Kate offers an inside look at Katherine Hepburn's life and home, from the vantage of Eileen Considine-Meara, daughter of Katharine Hepburn's live-in cook and housekeeper. Subtitled Growing Up in Katharine Hepburn's Household, this extraordinary book reveals the real woman behind the icon, sharing her daily rituals and telling stories of the many famous friends she frequently entertained, including Sidney Poitier, Lauren Bacall, Robert Wagner, and many more.
What people say:
"Here are the memories, the people, the recipes that were closest to Kate Hepburn's heart—her extended family under the guidance of the great caretaker and cook Norah and Norah's loving Irish heirs. This is an unusual look from downstairs to upstairs at the long life of America's #1 female Oscar-winning star. You can never get closer to the great Kate than with this memoir/scrapbook/treasure trove of Hepburn goodies! A don't-miss for collectors." — Liz Smith, syndicated columnist
About the Author:
