About the Author:

Preston Blair (1908 – 1995) was a legendary figure in the world of cartoon animation. He designed and animated the delightful dancing hippos in Walt Disney’s Fantasia, a film for which he also animated Mickey Mouse in the famous Sorcerer’s Apprentice scene. Blair designed and animated parts of Pinocchio, and the segment in Bambi when the owl tells about love in the tiwitterpatted speech. He also directed, animated, and designed a host of popular Barney Bear short films at MGM and produced an episode for TV’s The Flintstones. More recently, he was involved in the creation of interactive TV systems that use animation methods to teach reading.
