About the Play:
Family Album is a one-act comedy by Noel Coward. Gathered after the funeral of their father, a family of five siblings, three in-laws and their faithful old butler Burrows, mourn the past, think of the deceased's money and do their best to drink the cellar dry.
Family Album centers on a family of adult siblings gathered after the reading of a will left by their father, who is mourned most vociferously by a woefully emotional daughter. Just back from their father's funeral, the Featherway children cannot pull long faces nor feign regret. The last one to break into laughter is pious Lavinia, father's companion until his death. Even she must admit that he was lecherous and mean. After some wine, Lavinia reveals that she and the elderly Burrows burned the final will (which left nothing to the children) minutes after the old man died.
Family Album is one of the Tonight At 8:30 series of short plays produced in London and New York.
Cast: 3 female, 3 male
