About the Play:

Five Times in One Night is a favourite of acting teachers for female/male scenes.

Five Times in One Night is a full-length comedy by Chiara Atik. From Adam and Eve to the last couple on Earth, Five Times in One Night investigates the lives of five different couples over five different eras with just two actors playing all the parts.

Five Times in One Night is a comic survey of sexual relations throughout human history. In this comedic quintet, five couples explore the delights and disappointments of their sex lives. Whether they are the first two people on Earth or the last two, modern partners with shifting needs, exes on the eve of a life-altering event, or twelfth-century pen pals, following those most natural desires uncovers truths about their humanity. Altogether, Five Times in One Night is a hilarious examination of intimacy through the ages.

Five Times in One Night premiered in 2015 at Ensemble Studio Theatre off-Broadway in New York City. The play has become a favourite scene study vehicle in acting classes and workshops and been performed in regional theatre productions.
