About
the Book:
When does someone who possesses a great deal of knowledge become a
genius? How do you make the leap from intelligence to inspiration? It
happens in a flash, in an instant of insight! It may take years of
observation and study to reach the moment but the leap is Genius
Now!
Alan Marriott, a teacher of improvisation, explains how the
astonishing skills of performers on shows such as Who's Line is it
Anyway? – creating ideas, characters, stories and even
spontaneous songs – can be learned, and how they can be relevant
not only to performers, but to people from all walks of life. A list
of Alan's former students reads like a who's who of British comedy
and includes Eddie Izzard, Alan Davies, Jake Arnott,
Stella Duffy, Gordon Kennedy, Neil Ashdown, Fay
Ripley, Ben Keaton, Dylan Emory and many more...
