About the Play:

Harm is a full-length drama by Phoebe Eclair-Powell. It follows a lonely estate agent who becomes an obsessed "frenemy" to a social media influencer. Harm looks at the murky world of social media influencers, as well as obsessive friendship and the dangers of isolation.

Harm tells the story of an unhappy estate agent who sells a house to a charismatic social media influencer called Alice. The two strike up an unlikely friendship. But the protagonist (whose name we never learn) becomes increasingly consumed by Alice's curated digital world, blurring the boundaries between online fantasy and real-life consequences. Exploring the dangers of being able to hide behind a computer screen, Harm is a darkly comic psychological thriller that explores loneliness, obsession, and the corrosive effects of social media.

Harm premiered in 2021 at the Bush Theatre in West London. The North American premiere was in 2026 by Mitch and Murray Productions at Studio 16 in Vancouver.

Phoebe Eclair-Powell is a British playwright and screenwriter from South East London. She began training as an actress at the Drama Centre London, but soon switched over to playwriting.
