A collection of monologues to work on in Dialect! Monologues in Dialect for Young Actors is geared to this age group (Ages 17-25) and features work by internationally-renowned playwrights. In sections with an introduction and description of each dialect, there are monologues for both female and male roles which use British (both Standard and Cockney), Irish, Russian, and American (both New York and Southern) dialects (to name a few)! This book is excellent as a supplement to your acting and speech training and would be great use in scene study classes and Dialect courses.

What people say:

"It's fun, easy to follow, and the best source for teaching dialects that I have found. Her addition of movie titles for each dialect is a great idea. Highly recommended." — Marc Jacobs, Professor in the Theater Department at California State University - East Bay
