About the Play:
Mr. A's Amazing Maze Plays is a full-length children's play by Alan Ayckbourn, which takes the audience on a journey with Suzy in search of her dog Neville's lost bark in the house of the sinister Mr. Accousticus.
Mr. A's Amazing Maze Plays is an ingeniously constructed play in which Suzy's mother buys her a small puppy to keep her company while she works hard to earn a living for them. A suave but sinister – Mr. Accousticus – moves into the big empty house opposite their cottage; he charms Suzy's mother but frightens Suzy and her puppy Neville. Odd things start to happen and Neville suddenly loses his bark ... Suzy is convinced that Mr. Accousticus is responsible. She and Neville have to find out and how they do this depends on decisions taken by the audience aided by the Narrators!
Mr. A's Amazing Maze Plays premiered in 1988 at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England.

What people say:
"Contains mystery, suspense and imagination." — The Guardian (London)
"Kept a young audience spell bound for 90 minutes with dazzling display of imaginative and technical virtuosity. On one level [it] is a charming children's story, [but there are] traces of the master's pungent humour." — Yorkshire Evening Press
