About the Play:

Murder Well Rehearsed is a one-act suspense-thriller by John R. Carroll. A group of students and their teacher are rehearsing for their own play when they find a dead body on stage. Murder Well Rehearsed is an easily staged "who-dun-it" that unravels with excitement and genuine suspense. Especially recommended for school and contest use.

Murder Well Rehearsed is about a group of students and their Drama Coach who are preparing for a rehearsal only to discover a slain body, centre stage! Amidst sharp accusations, careless amateur attempts at detection, and tense hysterics, an overconfident Police Inspector appears. Suddenly, the stage is plunged in darkness, during which time the body mysteriously disappears! In addition, all the doors to the auditorium are barred and the overwrought group realizes they may be held captive by a crazed killer! A unique surprise ending.

Murder Well Rehearsed has been performed in middle school, high school, and community theatre productions.
