About the Book:
A collection of over 125 acting exercises and techniques that are based on journal excerpts and dialogues from actual classes taught by Eric Morris. These exercises teach the actor to systematically eliminate his or her instrumental obstacles — tensions, fears, inhibitions and emotional blocks — and explore the being state, where the actor does no more and no less than what he or she feels. It also contains a step-by step explanation of sense memory. Complete with photographs of actors involved in the process. Co-authored by Joan Hotchkis, with excerpts from her journal.
What people say:
"If you want to be still and full, Eric teaches 'The Stuff' — No one is more zealous in his pursuit of the work than [Eric Morris]." — Jack Nicholson
"When I read a book by… Eric Morris called No Acting Please, it put it all in perspective for me." Johnny Depp on Inside The Actors Studio
