About the Book:

HARD TO FIND BOOK, only a very limited number of copies are still available.

Not content with acting in Shakespeare in Love, accomplished British actor Simon Callow, compiled Shakespeare on Love, an anthology of his favourite passages from the Bard's work.

In Shakespeare on Love veteran actor Simon Callow selects his own extracts from Shakespeare's plays, all on the subject of love. From the passion of the sonnets, the poignant balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet to the bewitched love scene between Titania and Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, this anthology cuts across age and class, taboo and prohibition, to focus on Shakespeare's themes of love.

What people say:

"Callow is not simply a terrific actor who happens to write – you could as well call him a terrific writer who happens to act." — The Times

"This book is a treasure trove of love in words and pictures, and it proves, as Shakespeare avows in a Sonnet not here included, that, mess or not, love is "still my argument". Shakespeare on Love is the ideal gift for your Beloved." — The Canberra Times
