About the Book:

A visual and straightforward manual, The Storyboard Artist describes the various aspects of the storyboarding profession.

Storyboards are the blueprints for a multitude of media productions, including TV programs, films, ads, music videos, computer games and animation. They can be used to pitch an idea, communicate a concept, help build a budget and shape an entire shoot.

As well as being an essential guide for aspiring storyboard artists, this comprehensive book will enable anyone working in media production to get the most out of both the storyboard artist and the storyboard process. Sub-titled A Guide to Freelancing in Film, TV, and Advertising, this book includes tips and advice from a working professional with expertise in film, television, and advertising.

What people say:

"The Storyboard Artist gives a well-designed and comprehensive overview for anyone setting out on a career in the field, and will benefit professionals with its fresh perspective on the tools of the trade. Giuseppe’s fine drawings show a passion for the storytelling medium. This book will have a permanent place on my shelf." — Trevor Goring, illustrator, storyboard artist, and graphic novelist, Twilight

"A practical guide that is, like its subject, a conceptual and physical tool for saving time and money. Recommended for film students looking for illumination of all corners of the filmmaking process (and possibly to discover a niche) and freelance artists seeking a change." — Ben Malczewski, Library Journal
