About the Play:

Theater Masters is dedicated to nurturing, developing, and producing the work of the next generation of American playwrights on a national scale. Each year, Theater Masters hosts a national 10-minute playwriting competition among the MFA students at the top MFA Playwriting programs across the country.

This collection of stellar 10-minute plays, Theater Masters' Take Ten Vol. 4, is comprised of the following plays:

First Contact is a ten-minute play by Liam Fitzgerald: Two best friends' plan to sneak out and hunt the night sky for aliens is complicated by a rumor about a boy that one of them…may have…definitely…totally made out with. (Cast: 1 female, 1 male)

The Death Of Odysseus is a ten-minute play by Liz Baker: Roommates Pete and Jasper have a pretty good thing going. That is, until Jasper makes it his mission to rescue the dying bee outside of their apartment. (Cast: 2 male)

The Moment After is a ten-minute play by Michael John McGoldrick: A man and a woman reflect separately on their one-night stand and its effect on their lives. (Cast: 1 female, 1 male)

Pining is a ten-minute play by Banna Desta: Shandukani explores the thrills and shortcomings of attraction through a series of conversations and confessions. (Cast: 1 female)

Slap is a ten-minute play by Aja Nisenson: A mother tries to provoke her daughter to slap her in the face in order to even out the swelling of her latest cosmetic procedure. Sometimes love hurts. (Cast: 2 female, 1 male)

T3mporary is a ten-minute play by Joe Samaniego: In the rapidly advancing world of modern-day technology, it's easier than ever to be erased. (Cast: 3 female, 3 male)
