About the Author:
Karel Reisz (1926 – 2002) was a Czech-born British filmmaker. A significant filmmaker in post-war Britain, his film credits include The French Lieutenant's Woman, Isadora, Everybody Wins, The Gambler, Who'll Stop the Rain and Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, recently voted by the British Film Academy as one of the 20 best British films of all time.
