About
the Book:
May the verse be with you!
Experience the Star Wars saga reimagined as an Elizabethan drama
penned by the immortal William Shakespeare himself, complete
with authentic meter and verse, and theatrical monologues and
dialogue by everyone from Darth Maul to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Now the curtain rises once again on that star-crossed galaxy far
away, this time revealing the tragedy, hubris, and doomed romance
that will lead to the fall of the Republic and the rise of an Empire.
The entire Star Wars saga starts here, with George Lucas' first of a
three-part prequel Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
rescripted in the style of the immortal Bard of Avon, featuring a
disguised queen, a young hero, and two fearless knights facing a
hidden, vengeful enemy.
Authentic meter, stage directions, rescripted movie scenes and
dialogue, and hidden Easter eggs throughout William Shakespeare's
The Phantom of Menace will entertain and impress fans of Star
Wars and Shakespeare alike. Every scene and character from the
film appears in the play, along with twenty woodcut-style
illustrations that depict an Elizabethan version of the Star Wars
galaxy. O Threepio, Threepio, wherefore art thou, Threepio? Methinks
you'll find out in the pages of William
Shakespeare's The Phantom of Menace.

and answers the question: What light through Yoda's window breaks?"
