About the Play:
Yes, Dear is a one-act romantic comedy by Warren Graves.
As they prepare for their daughter's twenty-first birthday a couple
realize they are getting old and try to recapture their youth.
Yes, Dear is about the conversation on growing older that takes place between a husband and wife on the eve of their daughter's 21st birthday. When John and Marie Grant prepare for the 21st birthday party of
their daughter, these youthful parents suddenly feel old as they
realize their child is now an adult. In the privacy of their bedroom,
John reverts to the clown he was as a young man and sweeps Marie
along with him into sheer zest of being alive. They realize that, for
each other, they will always be the same in this charming and very
funny comedy.
