About the Author:
Hans P. Bacher is an internationally
acclaimed and award-winning German animation artist who is
acknowledged as one of the legends in animation film design. He was a
major influence on the production design of Disney films for over 20
years. His work saw him creating the production design for such
historic films as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Lion King,
Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Atlantis: The Lost
Empire and Mulan amongst others. He has been honoured with
the Golden Camera Award and the prestigious "Annie"
animation award for "Outstanding Individual Achievement for
Production Design in an Animated Feature Production" for his
work on the blockbuster Mulan. He now lives in Singapore where
he teaches at Nanyang Technological University.
