Screenplay:
HARD TO FIND BOOK, only a very limited number of copies are still
available.
I Went Down is screenplay by the renowned Irish playwright
Conor McPherson for BBC/Treasure Films (Best Screenplay, San
Sebastian, selected at Cannes Festival, Edinburgh Festival and
Sundance Festival). This crime comedy is a caper movie set in
Ireland's underworld. The exuberant and blackly humorous I Went
Down follows the misadventures of two down-on-their-luck Dublin
criminals. Forced together to find a missing conman, and with a
ruthless local crime boss hot on their heels, the pair must learn to trust
each other if they are to survive.
I Went Down includes a facsimile of the shooting script, a
selection of production stills with commentary, the complete cast and
crew credits, scenes from previous drafts and an introduction by the
writer, Conor McPherson, who made his name in cinema with this
his first film script.
