About
the Play:
A-Haunting We Will Go is a full-length mystery-comedy by
Tim Kelly. A famous TV producer plans to stay a night alone in
a supposedly haunted hotel to fulfill a childhood dream. During her
stay, a strange assortment of uninvited guests arrive to add to the
spirit manifestations and the murderous intrigue. There's no such
thing as a ghost. Or is there? A Haunting We Will Go will get
the audience asking that same question.
A-Haunting We Will Go is a delightful murder mystery farce
with lots of crazy characters and twists and turns your audience
won't see coming. Glamorous, young television producer Norma Corwin
made a childhood vow that once in her life she would spend a night
alone in The Inn of the Three Sisters, an eerie and forbidding hotel
made famous for the sisters' unresolved murder, horrifying spirit
manifestations and murderous intrigue. When she learns the inn is to
be dynamited to make way for a new highway, she decides the time is
now (or never) and the "fun" begins. Bumps, strange noises,
and an assortment of uninvited "guests" arrive to add more
mystery: ESP expert Madame Lugosi; a young serviceman who says he's
lost his way; a doomed young woman who comes to warn Norma that she's
in great danger; and, yes, the ghosts of the three young sisters who,
with the villainous handyman Flint, are cursed to relive the ghastly
murder each night. As events unfold, it becomes doubtful that Norma
and the others will survive the night.
A-Haunting We Will Go is a modern mystery-comedy suited to
any school, community, or fringe theatre group searching for a play
that has no problems in terms of production.

The students had so much fun and if offered enough of a challenge to
